Managing Director - Yesse Oenga

Yesse has a host of solid marketing and commercial management knowledge and experience having held senior management posts in organizations such as Sterling Health, Smith Kline Beecham and Kibo Breweries (East African Breweries). Prior to joining Celtel Yesse was Country Manager of Land o Lakes(Kenya). Before joing Celtel Uganda, Yesse worked as Marketing Director for Celtel Tanzania.

Operations Director - Basilio Sadindi,MBA Business Management

Basilio Sadindi is a native of Zimbabwe and has spent the six years with Celtel in DRC and Congo Brazzaville, more than 2yrs as Operations Director of Celtel Sierra Leone. Basilio is a Telecommunications Engineer with an MBA in Business Management and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

He is current student with the University of Wales (Robert Kennedy College) specializing in Organizational Behaviour and Strategic Management. His past 16 years experience includes many years of service in Broadcasting technology and GSM engineering with LM Ericsson.

Sales and Distribution Director - Jacob Okoth

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. He has over 10 years experience in Sales Management across East Africa.

Career history includes Corporate Account Management, Business Development and National Sales and Distribution Management. Prior to his current role, Jacob was part of the Celtel International, Group Marketing Team and was responsible for the Group Payphone Department as the Group Segment Manager.

Marketing Director - Cesear Mloka

Cesear holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. With 8 years experience working with blue chip companies and managing some of the leading brands in the region like Mobitel, Tusker, Barclays and Celtel.

Career history includes MIC Tanzania Limited, Kibo Breweries Limited (subsidiary of East African Breweries, part of the Diaego Group), Barclays Bank Tanzania, Celtel ( Tanzania as Marketing Manager and Uganda as Marketing Director ), with over 4 years experience in mobile telecommunications.

IT Director - H.G. Gurunath

Born on 26th January 1970, is Indian by nationality and holds Bachelors Degree in Commerce.

H.G Gurunath has over 17 years of Experience in Information systems management. He has been actively involved in developing and implementing Business Process solutions, IT architecture etc.

Gurunath was the Systems Manager at Celtel Uganda from 2004 to 2006 before assuming his new role as the IT Director, He previously worked in an East African FMCG group as Systems Administrator of the Network, Systems and ERP. Gurunath has also been the Project Manager for Implementation of ISO 9001-2000 and the Balanced Score card in his previous assignment.

He has made significant contributions in designing innovative Telecom (GSM) services and solutions while at Celtel Uganda and has overr the years developed strong skills in business process design, strategic management and business process measurement systems.

Finance Director - Nigel Williams

Nigel holds BA (hons), FCMA and an MBA (with distinction). With over 20 years blue chip Company experience, in broad finance roles covering additionally IT, HR, Legal and Admin. He joined Celtel International with an initial assignment with TTCL, Tanzania, in March 2001.

Career history includes BAE (UK), Cable and Wireless (UK, Saudi Arabia, Caribbean, Germany and Pakistan), DHL (Russia, CIS, Cyprus and India) and now Celtel International (Tanzania as Chief Operating Officer, Finance and Corporate Services and Corporate HQ as Group Finance Director); with over 11 years Telecommunications experience covering Fixed Line (Saudi ’89-90 and Tanzania ’01-04), Cellular Start-up (Caribbean ’90-91), Cellular Post Start-up (Pakistan ’92-95), together with Data and Facilities Management (Germany ’92).

Gloria Byamugisha - Human Resources Director

Gloria is British of Ugandan Origin, married with two children and has wide HR experience gained in the UK having worked as an HR Consultant for Darela Consultants, Recruitment and Retention Manager - National Health Service Trust, UK and Departmental Manager National Health Service Trust, UK.

She has a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management, University of Luton, an MBA - Finance & Management University of Westminster, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration - Martyrs University – Nkozi.
